The 27-year-old Venezuelan outfielder Luis Perez is leaving Danesi Nettuno, but will stay in the Italian Baseball League as he joins Montepaschi Grosseto. He has a Spanish passport and therefore won’t occupy a foreign spot on the roster of the Orioles. He had made the move from the Tenerife Marlins Puerto Cruz in the Spanish Division de Honor to Italy twelve months ago. Hindered by an injury he played in only 23 games for the Nettuno last year. He batted a solid .329/.409/.443 with one homerun, a triple, four doubles, ten runs and 14 RBI. He is going to replace Gabriele Ermini in left field, who recently has left for UGF Fortitudo Bologna.
