The playoffs in the Australian Baseball League are scheduled to start on Thursday. In the first best-of-three series the Sydney Blue Sox host the Perth Heat in a matchup of the two top-ranked teams. The winner advances into the championship series. The loser is going to face the winner of the second best-of-three series between the Adelaide Bite and the Melbourne Aces in round two of the playoffs.
