Juan Camilo returns to Danesi Nettuno

Posted on January 10, 2011January 10, 2011 by philipp

According to a local website outfielder Juan Camilo is leaving reigning champion Cariparma Parma to return to Italian Baseball League rival Danesi Nettuno. Only an official announcement is missing. The 34-year-old Dominican already played for Nettuno from 2007 to 2009. During the 2010 season he batted .325 (OBP .388/SLG .475) with three homeruns, three triples, nine doubles, 30 runs and 34 RBI in 41 games for Parma.

Camilo spent ten seasons in professional baseball from 1997 to 2006. Danesi already has confirmed that Jose Estebin Cruz and Fernando Gutierrez join the club for the 2011 season and that Remigio Leal returns for a third season. The veteran apparently also contemplated to take over as head coach with CB Sant Boi in the Spanish Division de Honor.
