Jamal Boutagra new Head Coach of Templiers Senart

Posted on January 5, 2011January 5, 2011 by philipp

The Templiers Senart have re-launched its team website and it reveals some interesting news. Jamal Boutagra, who had joined the club last winter as a player, is taking over as new head coach of the French Elite League team. The 36-year-old former national team player had spent seven years with Stade Toulousain, including two as head coach, before coming to Senart.

The club also confirmed that Frederic Hanvi and Brice Lorienne will play for the Templiers in 2011. However Hanvi is going to Japan this month to stick with a team there. If this is not working out, he will be available for Senart at the beginning of the season. Additionally it seems that Samuel Meurant is continuing his career, as he is still listed on the roster. There were rumors following the European Championship that the pitcher might retire.

The good news doesn’t end there, as the Templiers getting a new ballpark. Work at the new site will begin in April with the new field being ready for the 2012 season.
