The increasing popularity of the Winterleague in the Czech Republic caused, that for the actual winter season the Winterleague was divided into three divisions. South for teams from Prague plus Kladno and Louny, North for teams located in Northern and Eastern Bohemia and finally division Moravia consisting of teams from Moravia.
Winterleague already started with the tournament in Trutnov at the last weekend of November. Six teams from division North completed by Eagles Praha and Tempo Titans Praha fought for first win in Winterleague 2011. In the end the guests from Tempo Titans won the tournament, when they won the final game against Sparks Mlade Buky, in third place finished the first team of Klackari Kostelec and fourth Patriots Liberec. From Friday to Sunday six teams from division Moravia will play tee ball for the first awards in Blansko, where the baseball club Olympia Blansko is organizing already the 20th annual Christmas tournament. Beside category U10, which is a part of Winterleague, also four teams in U8, six teams in U12 and 4 teams in U16 categories will participate on this lets say oldest indoor youth baseball tournament in Czech Republic. Like in last year, indoor facility in baseball and softball complex at Krc (home of Eagles Praha) will invite 8 teams in first Winterleague tournament for the division South, but only six teams will represent division South, Sparks Mlade Buky and Patriots Liberec from division North will complete the roster at Krc.
