2011 Dates set for French Elite League

Thanks to a report by Bafinfos.com the 2011 dates for the French Elite League arrive at Mister-Baseball’s head quarters. Back with eight teams after the promotion of the Pessac Panthers, the regular season in the Elite League begins on March 27th and will end on July 24th. The postseason is scheduled to start on August 27th with the first game of the Championship Series set for October 1st.

After one year absence the Challenge de France returns to the calendar with the winner being qualified for the 2012 European Cup. The tournament for the eight Elite League teams is scheduled to be played from July 14th to 17th at a venue yet to be decided. The groups are already set with Rouen, Pessac, Senart and Toulouse in Pool A and Savigny, Montigny, Montpellier and Paris in Pool B.
