Navarra bring up bats against Barcelona

Posted on May 9, 2008May 9, 2008 by philipp

A week before the big duel with SANT BOI, the FC BARCELONA faces BASEBALL NAVARRA on the road. Homer Baez (ERA 0.66) and Jorge Balboa (ERA 0.75) had solid starts for BARCA the last time. However Remigio Leal (ERA 1.63) or newly acquired Manu Olivera could also get the nod.

NAVARRA scored 30 runs against PAMPLONA on last game day. Hector Perozo debuted as the cleanup hitter with three hits in seven at-bats and four runs scored. Juan Jose Lopez was even more impressive and raised his batting average to .500 for the year with four homeruns, eleven runs scored and twelve RBI. They will send German Arroyo (ERA 5.25) and Alberto Espanol (ERA 4.84) to the mound.

If you are interested you can follow the doubleheader live on the federation website via play-by-play. Starting time on Saturday is at 18:00 and on Sunday at 10:30 in the morning.
