Posted on May 9, 2008May 9, 2008 by philipp

Due to the Whitsuntide the Dutch Baseball Federation schedule again three-game series for the Hoofdklasse clubs. The PIONIERS currently lead the standings with an 8-1 record and outscoring their opponents 92-26. They will defend their rank against winless ADO. Miguel Santander, Daan De Jong and Roger Kops will be on the mound for KONICA MINOLTA. They could even widen the gap to the teams behind them, as they have to face each other.

The third and fifth ranked club HCAW and NEPTUNUS meet twice in Bussum, before game three in Rotterdam. DOOR announced Jurjen van Zijl, Diegomar Markwell and Kevin Heijstek as starters. MR. COCKER counters with Kevin Roovers and Forstin Coenraad on Saturday and Sunday. Joey Eijpe could go on Monday.

Another interesting match-up takes place between CORENDON KINHEIM, which is in second and sixth placed L&D AMSTERDAM. The 2007 champion sends David Bergman, Patrick Beljaards and Cliff Foster to start. The PIRATES rely on Ryan Murphy, Pim Walsma and Kenny Berkenbosch.

The twice rained out game between DOOR NEPTUNUS and CORENDON KINHEIM is now scheduled for Thursday May 15 19:45.
