Left-handed starting pitcher Bryce Schoening follows the example of his battery mate Jon Marshall and stays with the Bonn Capitals through the 2011 season. The club from the northern division of the German Baseball-Bundesliga announced the extension on Thursday. The 23-year-old had a 5-7 record with an ERA of 2.75 in 14 starts in his first year in Germany. He struck out 82 batters in 114 2/3 innings, while walking 24.
