A little bit buried in yesterday’s Baseball.it report about Bologna’s plans Danesi Nettuno apparently is interested in right-handed pitcher Panagiotis Sikaras of the De Angelis Godo Knights. The 31-year-old had a 2-5 record with an ERA of 3.07 in nine appearances (eight starts) for the Knights this year. He struck out 60 batters in 58 2/3 innings, walking 21. He has ten seasons of Minor and Independent League ball under his belt and pitched for Greece in the 2004 Olympics. He is playing in Italy since 2009. Nettuno also wants to retain Mirco Caradonna and Ennio Retrosi, but haven’t found common ground yet with their original club Lions Nettuno. Both don’t need to sweat losing a job in the IBL, as T&A San Marino is interested in Retrosi and Telemarket Rimini in Caradonna.
