Posted on May 3, 2008 by philipp

Infielder Hector Perozo returns to Spain to play for BASEBALL NAVARRA. He is 24 years old and was born in Caracas, Venezuela. He signed as an undrafted free agent with the LOS ANGELES DODGERS organization in 2000 and stayed in their minor league system for three years until 2003, reaching single A. In 219 minor league games he hit .237 (OBP .337/SLG .346) with 13 homeruns.

Perozo later went on and came to Europe to play in the Division de Honor for CD AMAYA and CD IRABIA.  In 2007 he hit .309 (SLG .608) with seven homeruns, two triples and four doubles in 97 at-bats. He scored 24 runs and drove in 21. He also appeared in five games as a pitcher with an ERA of 7.94.

Perozo might make his debut this weekend against CD PAMPLONA. NAVARRA started the season with two victories in six games.
