The Bonn Capitals announced on Wednesday that catcher Jon Marshall has extended his contract with the Baseball-Bundesliga club for another season. The 29-year-old batted .358 (OBP .432/SLG .420) with twelve runs and 15 RBI in 21 games during the regular season this year. It was his second stint with the club after 2008.
According to the press release head coach Mirko Heid expects that the rest of the roster is also returning for the 2011 campaign. The Capitals finished in third place in the northern division and got swept by the Heidenheim Heidekoepfe in the quarterfinals after missing the playoffs altogether in the previous two seasons.
