A RBI single by Vincent Ferreira and a dropped flyball by right fielder Mathieu Brau led to the decisive three runs in the bottom of the fifth, which put Savigny ahead by a score of 7-2. Rouen tried to rally, but only managed to cut the deficit to a run. They loaded the bases with two outs in the eighth, but Oscar Combes grounded out to second to end the threat.
