Savigny Lions – Paris UC 14-4, 7-0

After a long break due to vacation, international and European tournaments, the French Elite League returned to the European Baseball stage on Sunday. Leader Savigny Lions dispatched Paris UC 14-4 and 7-0 behind strong pitching performances of Kyle Nash, Nicolas Waltersperger, Eloi Secleppe, Tim Stewart and Pierrick Lemestre. Additionally Florian Peyrichou didn’t show any signs of rust, going 6-for-9 on the day to lead the offense. Savigny is going to host the Rouen Huskies next Sunday.

Montigny Cougars – Montpellier Barracudas 2-22, 4-8

The Montpellier Barracudas also had no problems to get their bats going after the long hiatus, as they celebrated a sweep on the road against the Montigny Cougars. The Barracudas crushed the Cougars 22-2 in game one. Game two wasn’t that lopsided, but still ended with an 8-4 victory for the guests from Montpellier. They are now 16-6 and in third, while Montigny is in sixth with three wins and 19 losses.
