Playoffs in German Softball-Bundesliga about to start

The quarterfinals (best-of-five) in the German Softball-Bundesliga will begin this weekend, as eight teams try to clinch a spot at the final four tournament in Ratingen on September 18 and 19. The series start at the lower seeds with defending champion Mannheim Tornados taking on the Hamburg Knights. Additionally the Herrenberg Wanderers will face the Neunkirchen Nightmares, the Brauweiler Raging Abbots play against the Haar Disciples and the Karlsruhe Cougars square off with the Wesseling Vermins. The Nightmares (21-3) and the Tornados (26-2) had picked up the number-one seeds in the northern respective southern division.

August 28 (Games 1&2):
12:00 Herrenberg Wanderers – Neunkirchen Nightmares
13:00 Brauweiler Raging Abbots – Haar Disciples
13:00 Karlsruhe Cougars – Wesseling Vermins
14:00 Hamburg Knights – Mannheim Tornados
