A complete game by Rob Cordemans (W 1-0) and a three-run ninth lifted L&D Amsterdam to a 4-1 victory in game one of their semi-final series against Corendon Kinheim. After the club from Haarlem tied the contest with a RBI single by Rafael Jozefa in the bottom of the fourth, both teams couldn’t score again until the ninth.
A pair of two-out errors and a wild David Bergman (L 0-1) who walked two and threw a wild pitch in the frame, led to the three-run rally. Cordemans gave up just three hits, a run and two bb in nine innings, striking out nine. Bergman issued five hits, four runs (1 ER) and four walks overall in 8 2/3 innings.
