Stockholm regained sole possession of first place in the top-six round of the Swedish Elitserien with a 4-3 win on Thursday evening against Sundbyberg Heat. Bjoern Johannessen drove in the winning run with a RBI single in top of the ninth, plating his brother Peter Johannessen.

Stockholm had erased a 0-3 deficit with a three-run rally in the seventh thanks to RBIs by Kevin Santiago and Bjoern Johannessen and a double play ground ball by Petter Diurlin. Sundbyberg had taken the lead in the fourth on a RBI fielder’s choice by Robert Porsklint and a sac fly by Peter Elfwing. One frame later a RBI double by Philip Gajzler made it 3-0.

Jacob Claesson (STO) issued six hits, three runs and four bb in seven innings. Rob Learned (SUN) gave up just one hit and a walk in six scoreless innings. He struck out seven. Niklas Eriksson (W 2-1) received the win, Nick Soubiea (L 7-2, BS 1) the loss.
