The Konica Minolta Pioniers scored three runs in the fourth to break a 1-1 tie on their way to a 5-1 win over the Almere Magpies on Thursday evening in the Dutch Hoofdklasse. Michael Duursma went 3-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored. Eddie Aucoin (W) allowed one run on six hits and a walk in five innings. Roy Beems (L) surrendered four hits, four runs (3 ER) and three bb in 3 2/3 frames.

Mr. Cocker HCAW overcame a 0-4 deficit against Sparta/Feyenoord Rotterdam on Thursday to win 5-4 thanks to a one-out RBI fielder’s choice by Wuilliuans Vasquez in the bottom of the ninth. They had tied the game with two runs in the seventh. Joran Klarenbeek (HCA) allowed ten hits and four runs in 3 1/3 innings. Tim Roodenburg (SPA) issued eleven hits, four runs (3 ER) and a walk in 6 1/3 innings. Joey Eijpe (W) picked up the win with 5 2/3 innings of scoreless one-hit, one-walk relief. Rensver Jansen (L) took the loss.
