Italy announced U21 Roster for European Championship

While the federations in the Netherlands, Spain and Germany choose not to send a team to the Under-21 European Championship in Brno, Czech Republic next week, Italy will. After losing in the finals in Pamplona against host Spain in 2008, the Squadra Azzurra wants the title this time.

On Wednesday the Italian Baseball and Softball Federation (FIBS) announced the roster. Manager Guglielmo Trinci has selected ten position players and ten pitchers for his squad. They will meet on Friday for a short training camp in Collecchio before traveling to Brno on Sunday. They are open the tournament on Monday against the Ukraine. The Czech Republic, France, Russia and Slovakia will be the other opponents.
