Box score

The Netherlands scored six runs in the first and five in the sixth inning en route to a 12-2 win over the Ukraine. Michael Duursma, Jeroen Sluijter and Shaldimar Daantji hit homeruns. Ten different players crossed the plate for the Dutch team. Denys Agapov and Andriy Kubalskyy scored the first two runs for the Ukraine in the tournament in the fourth and fifth frame.

On the mound David Bergman started with three perfect frames, striking out three. Afterwards Gregory Gustina (W 1-0) issued five hits, two runs and a walk in four innings of relief, picking up the win. Serhniy Maksymov (L 0-1) was charged with twelve hits, ten runs and a bb in five-plus innings. Even though the end result might indicate otherwise, but he actually did a pretty good job after the bad first few frames.
