The Netherlands had a successful start into the 2010 European Championship. Rob Cordemans (W 1-0) and Dave Draijer combined to throw seven no-hit innings in a 10-0 shutout over France. Cordemans allowed just a fourth-inning walk to Felix Brown. He struck out eight. Afterwards Draijer gave up another base on balls to Brown in the seventh, but completed the no-hitter anyway.

At the plate it was Raily Legito, who set the highlights. He went 4-for-4 with two doubles, three runs and three RBI. Bas de Jong had three hits and a pair of RBI. Bryan Engelhardt hit a two-run homerun in the third. Joris Navarro (L 0-1) took the loss, issuing eight hits, eight runs (7 ER) and four bb in 3 1/3 innings.
