Prague Baseball Week 2010: Results Day 3

Posted on July 16, 2010 by philipp

Day three at the Prague Baseball Week 2010 was an unsuccessful one for the two participants in the European Championship, as both the Czech Republic and Croatia lost. The Croatian team, which is still winless, suffered a 3-9 defeat against Russia. They already trailed 0-4 after three innings and 1-9 after six. Austria beat the Czech Republic 8-7 thanks to a walk-off hit in the bottom of the ninth. The senior players in the Czech squad now will travel to Italy for the Italian Baseball Week and the Under-21 team will finish the Prague Baseball Week. Two more games were played on Thursday, as Russia also won its second game of the day against Israel and the Czech Juniors lost to the American selection.
