Spanish Roster for 2010 European Championship released

The Spanish Baseball and Softball Federation has released its national team roster for the upcoming European Championship in Stuttgart, Heidenheim and Neuenburg. The only players not playing in Europe are pitchers Manu Olivera of South Florida Thunder and Lowuin Sacramento of the Venezuelan club Leones de Caracas.

Otherwise the Spanish Division de Honor and the Italian Baseball League are the main sources for manager Mauro Mazzotti. Before traveling to Germany, the Spanish national team is going to play in the warm-up tournament Italian Baseball Week together with Sweden, Italy and the Czech Republic from July 16 to 20.

Pitchers: Remigio Leal, Yoel Hernandez (both Danesi Nettuno), Fernando Gutierrez (Montepaschi Grosseto), Pedro Belmonte, Oscar Gimenez (both FC Barcelona), Jose Estebin Cruz, Ruben Fente (both CB Sant Boi), Antonio Noguerra, Ivan Granados (both Tenerife Marlins), Lowuin A.
