Results Austrian Baseball League July 3&4

Posted on July 4, 2010July 4, 2010 by philipp

Big surprise in the Austrian Baseball League on Sunday. The SUPERFUND Wanderers, which had won eleven of the first twelve games of the season, dropped both ends of a doubleheader in Stockerau against the Stock City Cubs. With the sweep the Cubs closed the gap towards the top four, while Vienna remains in first place.

The Wanderers also profited a bit that the Athletics Attnang-Puchheim only won one of two against the Schwechat Blue Bats and stay in second. Additionally the Union Kufstein Vikings solidified third place with a sweep against the Vienna Metrostars and the Schwaz Tigers flexed their offensive muscles to celebrate two victories against the Rohrbach Crazy Geese.
