Cariparma Parma defeated Danesi Nettuno 7-2 in a make-up game of an earlier rainout in the Italian Baseball League on Tuesday. Four runs in the bottom of the fifth decided the contest. Two of them got on the board on a double by Juan Camilo. Orlando Munoz also drove in two. Matteo Caravita, who leads Junior Parma in the IBL2 with a .312 batting average, hit a homerun.
On the mound Parma used seven pitchers to hold Nettuno to four hits combined. Nicolas Giovannelli picked up the win. Jeff Farnsworth (L) started for Danesi and issued eight hits, five runs (3 ER) and three bb in 5 2/3 innings. He struck out seven.
