On Monday the European Cup Qualifiers will start on four sites around Europe. Six teams each will play in Antwerp (BEL), Brest (BLR), Karlovac (CRO) and Solingen (GER). The winners of the four tournaments will get a shot to clinch a 2011 European Cup berth in the Playoff European Cup at the end of September.
They are going to face the Savigny Lions and the Rouen Huskies, which are in danger to lose both French spots in the A-Pool after finishing last at the 2010 European Cups in Rotterdam and Brno eight days ago.
The format is the same as usual. A round robin will be played in round one. Afterwards the two top-ranked clubs will determine the winner in a best-of-three series next Saturday with the first result coming from group-play.
