On Sunday the European Cup in Brno, Czech Republic ended with Fortitudo Bologna (ITA) and the Heidenheim Heidekoepfe (HE) booking tickets for the Final Four in Barcelona at the end of September. Afterwards Brandon Taylor of the Heidekoepfe was the best batter of the tournament, hitting .583 with three homeruns, two doubles, six runs scored and ten RBI in five games. Bologna’s Jesus Matos received the best pitcher award, allowing just three hits, no runs and no walks in 15 innings, while striking out 24. Jakub Hajtmar of the home team AVG Draci Brno was named MVP.
