Results Belgian First Division May 15&16

Posted on May 17, 2010 by philipp

The top two teams in the Belgian First Division celebrated lopsided victories this weekend. The undefeated Hoboken Pioneers improved to 9-0 after winning 19-9 and 21-1 against the Brasschaat Braves, which now already have allowed a whopping 148 runs through eleven games this season.

Second-ranked Port of Antwerp Greys beat the Merchtem Cats 15-0 and 10-3, improving to 8-2 in 2010. The Cats had a bye last week after having lost by a combined score 1-19 against the Greys on the first weekend in May.

The promoted K. Deurne Spartans continued their surprisingly successful season with a split against the Mortsel Stars, solidifying third place in the standings. On Saturday the Stars prevailed 6-3 at their home field. One day later the Spartans had the better ending in a 4-3 nail biter.
