Grosseto won game two of its series against the Catania Warriors 2-1 on Friday evening before rain washed out game three on Saturday. A pair of RBIs by Kelly Ramos and Gabriele Ermini in the bottom of the fourth sealed the victory, as the team from Sicily only was able to cut the deficit to a run with a RBI double by Perez Rosario in the top of the seventh. Riccardo De Santis (W) issued six hits, a run and three walks in seven solid innings for the win. Orlando Yntema (L) surrendered seven hits, two runs and two bb in eight innings.

Enorbel Marquez-Ramirez (W) struck out eight in 5 2/3 innings to lead Rimini to a 5-2 win over Bologna on Friday evening. He gave up just two runs on five hits and two walks. After he ran into trouble in the sixth Chris Di Roma bailed him out and struck out four retiring all ten batters he faced for the save. Laidel Chapelli scored twice. Clinton Balgera drove in two. Cody Cillo (L) conceded seven hits, three runs (2 ER) and three bb in five innings. Game three of the series was postponed until Sunday afternoon due to rain.
Cariparma Parma – De Angelis Godo Knights 6-2, 6-5, 8-6

Cariparma won game one of its series against De Angelis Godo on Friday by a score of 6-2. Luca Bertagnon scored the decisive third run in the bottom of the seventh, when he stole home. Parma took the lead one frame earlier on a RBI triple by Davide Dallospedale and a sac fly by Alex Sambucci. A three-double by Manuel Gasparri in the eighth secured the win. Gary Burnham Jr. had given the Knights a 1-0 advantage in the top of the fourth with a RBI single. Carlos Villalobos hit a solo homerun in the top of the eighth. Mihai Burlea (W) struck out seven in 6 1/3 solid innings, allowing three hits, a run and five walks. Keith Ramsey (L) took the loss after seven innings, four hits, three runs and three bb.

Parma needed a RBI double by Marco Yepez in the bottom of the eighth to prevail 6-5 in the Saturday afternoon game. Davide Dallospedale had tied the game in the seventh with a RBI triple. The Godo Knights led since runs by Peter Johannessen and Lucas Montalbetti on RBIs by Mattia Bucchi and Davide Benetti in the top of the sixth. Pedro Orta (W) got the win after pitched three innings of scoreless relief. Panagiotis Sikaras (L) struck out ten in 7 2/3 innings, but also allowed six runs on ten hits and five walks.

The Godo Knights kept things close also in the night game on Saturday, but Cariparma still completed the sweep with an 8-6 victory. Davide Dallospedale tripled for the third time in three games and scored twice. Stefano De Simoni reached base three times, scored once and drove in a run for Parma. Lucas Montalbetti and Mattia Bucchi combined for four RBI for De Angelis. Roberto Corradini (W) issued nine hits, six runs and a walk in 5 1/3 innings. Francesco Cozzolino (L) surrendered two hits, four runs (2 ER) and six bb in 2 2/3 innings.
The three-game series between Danesi Nettuno and T&A San Marino was rained out and rescheduled as a triple header for Sunday. But the weather didn’t get better and forced another postponement in the morning. They will make a last attempt to play at 2pm CET.
