The Austrian Baseball League club Stock City Cubs has added the 23-year-old San Francisco native Conor Casey for the upcoming season. The shortstop played at Swarthmore College (NCAA Division III) in the past four years and batted .303 (OBP .358/SLG .352) with 65 runs and 54 RBI in 123 games. Together with Cubs coach Reed Brown, Casey spent the winter playing in Australia. Stockerau opens the season next Saturday against last year’s runner up Schwaz Tigers.
