Nettuno won game one of their series in Rimini by a score of 3-2 after Igor Schiavetti and Vincent Parisi delivered a pair of RBI singles in the top of the eighth, turning a 1-2 deficit into their favor. The Pirates led since a RBI single by Filippo Crociati in the fourth. Dewis Navarro had evened the game in the third with a RBI single after Danny Gonzalez had put Telemarket in front in the first with a RBI double. We could consider the duel between former Major Leaguers as a tie with a slightly advantage towards Kris Wilson (W 2-1), who picked up the win. He issued two runs (1 ER) on six hits in seven innings, striking out seven. Jim Brower (RIM) gave up four hits, a run and two bb in six innings. Alex Serrano (L 0-1) took the loss.
De Angelis Godo – T&A San Marino 0-3

San Marino also won game two of its series with the Godo Knights. On Friday they celebrated a 3-0 shutout behind eight strong innings by Tiago Da Silva (W 2-0), who allowed just four hits in his outing. The Titans took a 1-0 lead in the fourth on a sac fly by Francesco Imperiali. RBI singles by Thursday hero Max De Biase and Imperiali added two insurance runs in the eighth. Danny Forte (L 0-3) surrendered six hits, a run and a walk in six innings.
UGF Bologna – Catania Warriors 10-0 (7)

The Warriors hoped for a surprise through the first four innings, but in the fifth Bologna’s offense woke up and put six runs on the board en route to a 10-0 shutout in seven innings. Jesus Matos (W 2-1) gave up just two hits in seven scoreless innings for the win. He struck out nine. Jairo Ramos went 2-for-3 with three RBI. Stefano Landuzzi scored twice after walking four times in the game. Yorkin Ferreras (L 0-3) was charged with eight hits, seven runs and six bb in five-plus innings.
Cariparma Parma – Montepaschi Grosseto 11-1 (7)

After scoring 42 runs in the three games last weekend, Cariparma’s offense also dominated against Grosseto on Friday. Parma won by a score of 11-1 in ten-run rule shortened seven innings. Leadoff hitter Stefano De Simoni went 2-for-3 with two walks and four runs scored. Hitters three to six, Leonardo Zileri, Juan Camilo, Davide Dallospedale and Riccardo Bertagnon, combined to drive in nine of the eleven runs. Gustavo Martinez (W 2-1) gave up three hits, an unearned run and four walks in five innings. Juan Figueroa (L 1-2) took the loss after 4 2/3 innings, six hits, five runs and four bb.
