CB Sant Boi settles for Split with Tenerife Marlins

CB Sant Boi isn’t undefeated anymore, but remains at the top of the Spanish Division de Honor standings after a split against the Tenerife Marlins Puerto Cruz. Junior Guerra and Jose Guanchez held the defending champion scoreless in a 3-0 shutout in game one. In the second match of the Saturday doubleheader, Ivan Granados out-pitched Jose Estebin Cruz and led the Marlins to a 1-0 win, ending the winning streak of Sant Boi after 13 games.

The FC Barcelona profited from the split and cut the deficit in the standings to two games. They traveled to Gijon and only needed to play ten innings to return home with two lopsided wins, out-scoring El Llano 43-1 in the twin bill. Baseball Navarra moved past Puerto Cruz back into third position in the standings with two wins against local rivals CD Pamplona. San Inazio Bilbao moved into a tie for fourth place with a sweep against CB Viladecans. The Astros ended their eight-game losing streak with a win in game two of their two-game series in Vigo.

Short recaps of all ten games will follow on Monday
