San Marino also won games two against UGF Bologna, as they used a four-run rally in the opening frame to prevail 5-2 on Friday night. Carlos Duran scored the first run on a passed ball. Francesco Imperiali followed with a two-run double and later crossed the plate after a dropped flyball. Duran drove in an insurance run in the seventh with a groundout. Fortitudo put runs on the board through runs by Joseph Mazzuca and Juan Carlos Infante. Tiago da Silva (W 1-0) allowed five hits, two runs (1 ER) and a walk in seven innings. Yulman Ribeiro (L 1-1) issued four hits, four runs (3 ER) and a bb in five innings.
Montepaschi Grosseto – Danesi Nettuno 1-2

Nettuno evened the series in Grosseto with a 2-1 win on Friday. Igor Schiavetti drove in the winning run Manny Alexander with a single in the ninth. Alexander had reached and advanced to third on a dropped flyball by right fielder Ivanon Coffie and a steal. He already had scored the first run for Danesi in the fifth on a RBI single by Lino 
Connell. Coffie had put Montepaschi in front with a RBI single in the first. Chris Cooper (GRO) gave up seven hits, a run and three walks in seven innings. Mike Natale (NET) struck out seven in 7 2/3 innings, allowing seven hits, a run and a bb. Remigio Leal picked up the win, while Fernando Gutierrez was charged with the loss.
De Angelis Godo Knights – Telemarket Rimini 0-8

Rimini celebrated its second straight shutout in two days against Godo, winning 8-0 on Friday. Enorbel Marquez-Ramirez (W 2-0) dominated with eight strikeouts in seven scoreless innings, allowing just four hits and two walks. Giuseppe Signori homered for the Pirates. Simon Pandolfi and Lorenzo Avagnina hit a pair of two-run doubles during a five-run rally in the eighth. Carlos Villalobos went 3-for-4 for the Knights. Danny Forte (L 0-2) allowed three hits, two runs and four walks in four innings.
Catania Warriors – Cariparma Parma 2-13 (7)

The Catania Warriors suffered a 2-13 loss in seven innings to Parma in their home opener at the newly named Joe DiMaggio Stadium in Palermo. Cariparma already led 3-2, when they blew things wide open with ten runs in the seventh. Juan Camilo, Davide Dallospedale and Michele Gerali drove in two runs each. Nine different players crossed the plate at least once for the guests. Gustavo Martinez (W 1-1) conceded four hits, two runs and four bb in seven innings, striking out ten. Yorkin Ferreras (L 0-2) gave up eight hits, three runs (2 ER) and four walks in six innings.
