Crazy Geese’s Jose Castillo out for 2010 Season

Posted on April 3, 2010 by philipp

The promoted Austrian Baseball League club Rohrbach Crazy Geese will miss their player/coach Jose Castillo this year. The Venezuelan suffered a knee injury in his home country and will be sidelined for the whole season. The club is already looking for a replacement. Castillo led the team with a .556 batting average (OBP .643/SLG 1.153) to an 18-6 record in the second division in 2009. He also had an ERA of 1.15 with 28 strikeouts (six walks) in 24 1/3 innings. He had extended his contract in January.
