4 Europeans to Minor League Camp. Max Kepler-Rozycki ready for Baseball.

Posted on March 15, 2010 by philipp

Minor League Camp: According to Honkbalsite.com four Dutch players were assigned to the Minor League Spring Training camp on the weekend. Gregory Halman (Seattle Mariners), Alexander Smit (Cincinnati Reds), Loek van Mil (Minnesota Twins) and Kenley Jansen (Los Angeles Dodgers) worked out and played alongside the Major Leaguers in the last couple of weeks.

Halman had a triple in seven at-bats through six Cactus League games this spring. He struck out three times. Smit appeared in just one game for the Reds, allowing three runs on two hits and two walks in 2/3 innings. Jansen only appearance was a scoreless inning on Sunday in an 11-1 win over an all star team during the Taiwan trip of the Dodgers. Van Mil was mostly sidelined due to a shoulder injury.

Max Kepler-Rozycki: The American Chronicle looked at last year’s international signees of the Minnesota Twins Miguel Angel Sano and Max Kepler-Rozycki. The 17-year-old German outfielder has passed his GED exam and can focus on Baseball now. He has built up himself from 185 pounds to 205 since last summer and is working out at the Twins facilities in Fort Myers, Florida. Minor league camp opened last Friday. Sano and Kepler-Rozycki are expected to play in the Gulf Coast League, which starts in June.
