Posted on February 10, 2010 by philipp

North East KnightsThe newly formed Italian Baseball League franchise Godo-Verona continues to make great progress in preparation for the 2010 season. On Tuesday evening the organization has revealed its new logo and a new team name to create strong brand awareness.

The logo was created by Michele Savini and shows a helmet and two jousting lances, which symbolize the Ravenna and Verona regions. The new name for the franchise will be “North East Knights”. The teams in the two IBL divisions will use the names “Godo Knights” and “Verona Knights”.

Luciano Risi, who served as sport director in Verona, will be the president of the North East Knights. Vincenzo Mignola, who was the team manager for De Angelis Godo, is the general manager of the club. The secretariat will be managed by Daniela Olivieri (Verona) and Alessandro Soprani (Godo).
