(Update) 2010 Caribbean Series in Margarita Island starts on Tuesday

2010 Caribbean SeriesOn Tuesday the annual Caribbean Series with the winners of the four winter leagues in Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Puerto Rico is going to start. The hosting site will be Margarita Island in Venezuela. Leones del Caracas (VEN), Leones del Escodigo (DOM), Naranjeros de Hermosillo (MEX) and Indios de Mayaguez (PUE) will be the respective representatives. Dominican teams lead the pack with 17 titles in the history of the tournament, followed by Puerto Rico (14) and Venezuela (7). In 2009 the Venezuelan Tigres de Aragua dominated the six-day event with five wins in six games.
