Czech Baseball Awards for 2009 Season announced

The individual awards for the best baseball players played in Czech Republic were announced on Wednesday on the CBA website. These awards will be handed over during the annual All Star Game, which is scheduled for May 8th 2010 in Brno. The Czech Baseball Association awards the best players in five different categories – best hitter, homerun king, best pitcher, talent of the year and most valuable player of the playoffs. These are the winners:

Best Hitter (Award of Mr. Miroslav Vojtisek): Pavel Budsky (AVG Draci Brno)
Homerun King (Award of Mr. Ales Hrabe): Martin Stritecky (Technika Brno)
Best Pitcher (Award of play-ball.cz): Petr Minarik (AVG Draci Brno)
Talent of the Year (Award of Mr. Jim Jones): Marek Cervenka (Kotlarka Praha/Tempo Titans Praha)
MVP of the Playoffs (Louisville Slugger Award): Daniel Wayne Ough (AVG Draci Brno)
