Great Britain’s Chris Berset voted Co-Captain at University of Michigan

The 21-year-old catcher Chris Berset was voted co-captain at the University of Michigan for the upcoming season. The switch hitter played for Great Britain in the 2009 Baseball World Cup, leading the team with a .387 batting average (OBP .441/SLG .516) in ten games. He homered and doubled once, scored five runs and drove in two.  Berset will start into his fourth season in the Big 10 conference on February 19, when the Wolverines take on Jacksonville State. He is batting .277 (OBP .388/SLG .380) with five homeruns, 16 doubles, 59 runs and 57 RBI in 110 games in his college career so far.
