Jose Castillo resigns with Crazy Geese

The Rohrbach Crazy Geese, which qualified for the 2010 season in the Austrian Baseball League with a second-place finish behind the Stock City Cubs in the promotion playoffs, have resigned player/coach Jose Castillo. He not only led them to an 18-6 record in the second division, but also won the batting title with an average of .556 (OBP .643/SLG 1.153) in 24 games. He hit eight homeruns, two triples and 15 doubles, scored 38 times and drove in 38. He also had a 3-1 record with an ERA of 1.15 in three starts, striking out 28 batters in 24 1/3 innings, walking six.
