Posted on February 4, 2008 by philipp

The Czech Baseball Association published on their website transfers in the Extra League. We will take a look at the most interesting transactions and provide an overview over all in the end.

The 2007 head coach of Arrows Ostrava Anthony BENNETT moves to another Czech baseball team. He joins the second division winner Patriots Liberec. He will succeed Richard KANIA, who returned back to his home club Krc Altron.

The catcher of the Czech national team Michal BREN is leaving his home team Draci Brno and goes to local rivals MLZU Express Brno. BREN was third with a batting average of .397 and a slugging percentage of .548. He hit five doubles and two home runs.

Jan DRABEK returns to his home country after playing for the Dutch team RCH Media Monks. DRABEK, who had played for Tegola Titans in the past, signed with the Patriots. He wants to lead the team to the Extra League in 2009.

The Slovakian Jan JABLONKA is going from MZLU to Draci Brno. JABLONKA hit .369 with 31 hits. He led the league with 31 walks and an on base percentage of .538.

The Czech legend Tomas OVESNY returned back from MZLU Express Brno to Hrosi Brno.

Jiri VIT and Vit KREPINSKY boost the Titans roster in 2008. VIT played for the Patriots in 2007. He was already with Tegola in the past and will improve the quality of the outfield. KREPINSKY is a former SaBaT Praha player. They are losing one of their best pitchers. Instead KREPINSKY will strengthen the rotation of the Titans.
