The Spanish Baseball League will be reduced from twelve to ten teams in the upcoming season. The cause for these actions is a fusion of three teams to a new one. CD Amaya, CD Arga and CAD Irabia will merge into Reyno of Navarra. Their new home is Burlada in the suburbs of Pamplona. All three old squads were situated around this area already.
The team will consist of members of the 2007 roster of Amaya, Arga and Irabia. The two most important signings until now are two Venezuelan pitchers.
German ARROYO, who was on the roster of Irabia in 2007, led the league in innings pitched (123) and strikeouts (121). He had an 8-6 record with an ERA of 1.61. He will accompany by Juan LOPEZ, who was with Amaya in 2007. He was on the mound for 99.1 innings pitched, striking out 113. He won five games (nine losses) with an ERA of 3.35. ARROYO and LOPEZ will be a feared duo in the Spanish baseball league.
