25th IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship starts with three European Teams on Thursday

International Tournaments Comments Off on 25th IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship starts with three European Teams on Thursday

Organizers of the IBAF 18U Baseball World Championship in Seoul, South Korea were lucked that the Typhoon hit the country prior to the start of the tournament. Although there is rain in the forecast for the next couple of days they avoided an even worse scenario, as most of the teams are arrived in time and all 12 are scheduled to start into the former Junior/AAA event on Thursday.

The Netherlands, Italy and the Czech Republic represent European Baseball in the 25th edition of the tournament, hoping to qualify for the top-six round. Defending champion Chinese Taipei, host Korea, Team USA, Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, Japan, Canada and Australia are also on hand to battle for the 18U trophy.

As usual you can follow all the games via Gametracker Live by Play on the tournament website on www.ibaf.org. South Korea is seven hours ahead of Central Europe.
