We continue our review series of Europe’s baseball leagues after the Netherlands and Italy with the German Baseball-Bundesliga.

Pulheim Gophers

2011 Record: 7-31 (including playdowns)
2011 Ranking: 8th place in northern division. Started with playoff aspirations, the Pulheim Gophers quickly moved down the ladder in the German Baseball-Bundesliga to get relegated into second-division baseball. Only intervention by the German Baseball and Softball Federation avoided a withdrawal during the season.
Runs Scored: 142 (6th)
Runs Allowed: 286 (7th)

Best Batter: Daniel Lamb-Hunt. In his second year in the German Baseball-Bundesliga the infielder from New Zealand batted .440/.542/.736 with seven homeruns, 29 runs and 30 RBI in 28 games.
