2010 in Review – Dutch Hoofdklasse – ADO

After starting into the annual review season with the Italian Baseball League, we’re continuing with the Dutch Hoofdklasse.

ADO

2010 Record: 9-31 (one tie)
2010 Ranking: 7th place in Dutch Hoofdklasse after regular season. During the playdowns ADO lost to Sparta/Feyenoord Rotterdam but fought off the Almere Magpies in the relegation series to secure a ticket in the 2011 season.
Runs Scored: 109 (tied for 7th)
Runs Allowed: 261 (7th)

Best Batter: Allan Milliard. He batted .271 (OBP .426/SLG .313) in just 48 at-bats through 22 games this year.
Best OPS: Matt Ryan .718 (min. 80 AB)
Most Home Runs: Matt Ryan 3 (3rd in league)
Most RBI: Matt Ryan, Boudewijn van Elswijk 12
Most Runs Scored: Matt Ryan 14
Most Stolen Bases: Berti Richardson, Frans Richardson, Anthony Vrolijk 5

Best Pitcher: Bobby Carrington. He had a 3-3 record with an ERA of 1.82 in 14 appearances (twelve starts) on the mound for the club from The Hague. He struck out 77 batters in 79 innings, walking 37. Opponents hit just .176 (4th in league) against him. He also didn’t allow a homerun and led the league with ten hit batters.
Best ERA Starter: Bobby Carrington 1.82 (9th in league)
Best ERA Reliever: Jurrian Koks 3.98
Most Strikeouts: Bobby Carrington 77 (4th in league)
Most Walks: Martijn Riphagen 43
Most Innings Pitched: Bobby Carrington 79.0 (10th in league)
