Maikel Folch allowed just a two-inning single and a walk in seven scoreless innings to lead Cuba to an 8-0 shutout on day two of the World Port Tournament in Rotterdam. They took a 2-0 lead in the second and added three runs each in the fourth and sixth to seal the win. Yoelvis Fiss and Rafael Valdez drove in two apiece. Yolbis Borroto scored twice. Keisuke Sugiyama took the loss, conceding four hits, two runs and two walks in three innings.
Taiwan – Netherlands 8-3

In the evening game at the Familie Stadium, Taiwan handed the hosting Dutch National team the second loss in two games. After scoring twice in the fourth, the Asian squad extended the gap to five runs on a bases clearing double by Hsin Min Wang. The Netherlands was able to cut down the deficit to two runs thanks to a wild pitch and a two-run single by Eugene Kingsale. But Taiwan answered by scoring three runs in the bottom of the eighth, highlighted by a Chih Hsiang Lin two-run double. Wen-Yang Liao picked up the win with five scoreless innings of five-hit ball. He also gave up three walks and struck out four. David Bergman issued five hits and two runs in five innings for the loss.
