The last of four World Baseball Classic Qualifiers will be played in Brooklyn, New York these days. Pakistan, Brazil, Great Britain and Israel will square off in the double elimination like tournament to determine the 16th team in the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
Mister-Baseball.com is going to have a reporter on site to bring you recaps from all the games. Live play by play and live stream broadcasts are available through www.worldbaseballclassic.com and www.mlb.com.
Day one features a matchup between Brazil, which is coached by Hall of Famer Barry Larkin and qualified for the 2013 World Baseball Classic, and Pakistan, which is the newbie in the WBCQ and the heavy underdog. Favored are Israel and Great Britain, which will square off in game two on day one. Both can rely on several current and former MLB affiliated players.
The biggest star besides Larkin is another coach with Trevor Hoffman, who is going to be the bullpen coach for the British team. Hosting ballpark is MCU Park in Brooklyn, home of the New York Mets minor league team Brooklyn Cyclones.
Australia, Mexico and Colombia have won the other three Qualifiers.
