Come on, now!
No USA team. No Cuban team. No Puerto Rican team. No Dominican Republic team. Not even a Canadian team.
And you call this a “WORLD” championship?!?
Maybe they should call it the Also Ran World Championship. Or maybe call it The Championship of Asia and All the Countries Where Nobody Cares About Baseball.
No one in the U.S., Cuba, etc. even knows about this “World” championship, much less cares about it.
Nor should we.
“World” champions, indeed.
Fred, if you are really concerning about the whereabouts of international baseball, then why do you always just bitch and moan at the comment section of this website? Do you really think that it’s a productive way of solution? NOPE. You can change NOTHING if you don’t contact organisers of WBSC to share your opinion with them.
Well, at least you shouldn’t ignore about these FACTS; First, domestic leagues in Cuba, Puerto Rico or Dominican republic are all operated as winter ball. Second, these countries you named doesn’t seem to have U23 national team programmes. Third, this tournament do contains baseball fanatic countries like Venezuela and Nicaragua.
And last but not least, just complaining and never indicating the “how to” to bring those big names on the tables don’t makes you polite as a person. In fact, what you’re doing here is nothing but useless.
