The Croatian team VINDIJA VARAZDIN won the championship in the 2009 Interleague with teams from Croatia, Serbia and Hungary. They defeated NADA SSM 5-3 in the finals on Sunday. VINDIJA had beaten BK ZAGREB 7-3 in the semi-finals; NADA eliminated the SLEEPWALKERS 3-2. ZAGREB took third place with a 7-6 win in the bronze medal match. The final tournament in Zagreb, Croatia was rescheduled to September 26&27 due to the Baseball World Cup at the beginning of the month.
