If there is snow on the field, you still can play some softball. Just use a snowmobile like some softball fanatics in Wisconsin.
“We call it snowmobile softball. It’s basically slow-pitch softball, played on a snowmobile,” said Bruce Learman, an organizer of the tournament.
There are rules specific to the sport.
“Fielders all got to keep their sled turned off. The batter stands in a circle, can’t start them up until the ball is hit,” said Jack Kuhnke, an organizer of the tournament.
“You have to wear a coat. You have to wear a pair of gloves. So with a 16-inch softball, you can’t pick it up one-handed with a pair of gloves on,” said Learman.
